An Indianapolis Winter Wedding at the Barn at Bay Horse Inn

I am so excited to finally share Alice & Kyle’s gorgeous winter wedding day with you!

As many of you know, I have temporarily moved to Austin, Texas for a travel nurse contract. Since then, photography (especially blogging) has been on the back burner! However, these images deserve a permanent place on my website, and I decided I couldn’t put it off any longer.

Alice is a friend and fellow NICU nurse, so photographing her wedding was extra special to me! I remember when she first reached out to me about taking her wedding photos. I was just getting started with wedding photography, and I didn’t think she was serious about me being her photographer. I thought she was just being sweet talking to me about it! After talking things over with Kyle, Alice told me that they wanted to book with me and that they thought it was special to have their wedding be one of my first weddings! I can’t tell you how much I loved hearing that they felt that way!

Alice & Kyle were married at their church on the south side of Indianapolis, St. Roch Catholic Church. The reception was at one of the most gorgeous wedding barns in Indianapolis, the Barn at Bay Horse Inn. This rustic yet elegant venue looked especially beautiful decorated for winter with a large Christmas tree and snow-covered greenery. It was bitter cold on their wedding day, but we managed to still do some portraits outside. Alice thought ahead and ordered fur shawls for herself and the bridesmaids to help them all stay warm! They photographed so beautifully!
