I just love this family! This is my third year photographing them, and it is always such a joy! The other day I looked back at my very first session with them from back in 2018. If I am being honest, I was a little embarrassed looking through that session. It is SO FAR from my current editing style, and I didn’t understand the lighting principles that I do today. However, it reminded me that we all start somewhere. Looking back to where I started helps me to see the progress that I have made and motivates me to keep learning so that I can serve my clients in the best way possible!

This year their family session took place at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, and my husband came to the session with me as a second shooter! He loved getting to meet this family, and quickly learned why I love them! Melissa and Sam are such down to earth people. They are both so loving and playful with their kids, and it is obvious that their kids absolutely adore them! When I was taking photos of Melissa and Sam alone, their children were ‘oohing and aahing’ over them making them giggle! I wish you could have been there to hear their reactions when I had Melissa and Sam giggle into a kiss! Their kids are seriously so wonderful to be around. They can be so silly and often make me laugh by things that they do or say! My husband and I said that we hope our future kids are as awesome as they are! 🙂
